Excessive exposure to small nearby objects, such as electronic devices, can cause myopia. Gathering insights from these studies, 21 GRAMS has partnered with The Sims to develop an innovative videogame with a primary focus on encouraging the most affected generation (Gen Z) to embrace outdoor activities.
The game contains locked zones accessible only through real-world geolocation in outdoor settings like parks, monuments and landmarks. To further raise awareness among users about myopia, and to make the game more engaging, we have implemented it with rewards such as eye checkups, free festival tickets, and invitations to various outdoor gatherings.
